I’ve fallen in love with this painting

Grey Tree by Piet Mondrian

Thank you, Brian, for introducing me to it. I was familiar with other works by Mondrian, but I’d never seen Grey Tree before.

And from my notebooks:

Mondrian wanted to free art from depicting "hierarchies of perceived reality." In doing so, he hoped to destroy the distinction between matter and non-matter, figure and ground, to touch the Absolute. His credo: "always further."
